This year, Putnam County has three towns that will have fireworks displays. Cold Spring, Lake Carmel, and Southeast all offer unique attributes to make their showcase special and they all promise to be a night you won’t want to miss.

Lake Carmel

On July 3rd be sure to grab a blanket and find a spot around the lake to watch the fireworks or if you’re one of the lucky few to own a rowboat, take it onto the lake for a VIP spot to watch the show. The fireworks will start around 8:45pm and the event will last for about an hour. No matter what area of the lake you are viewing from, every angle promises a fantastic fireworks show. Make sure to get there early to find parking, as the roads surrounding the lake will be shut down.

The Town of Southeast fireworks spectacular is the most easily accessible option for those traveling from out of town. Take Metro North to the Southeast station then let the Putnam Trolley transport you from the station to the parking lot and back. Last year, this spectacular attracted over 10,000 people and this year they are expected to thrill the crowds even more. One can enjoy a night of music, fireworks, and fun on July 3rd at Independence Way in Brewster NY, The fireworks spectacular will light up the sky at 9:30pm.
